The wonders of Himachal Pradesh
If you are in India and also in love with mountains, there can be no more than a meagre chance that you overlooked the wonders of Himachal Pradesh. This Himalayan state is perhaps the most-loved mountain getaway for the country, especially in North India. Today, as the country celebrates Himachal Day, we will give you more reasons to live the wonders that only this state in India can offer. Also, take cues for the summer vacation as well
Jispa
Jispa in Lahaul is perhaps a place that you might not have heard of. Unlike Spiti, Lahaul remains away from the regular touristy crowd, unless you take the Manali - Leh highway. A stunningly gorgeous place, Jispa has way more than its reputation as a major pitstop en route. It is at a distance of around 20 km from Keylong, a place that is highly popular with those on the grand road trip
Key Monastery
This monastery is one of the most famous landmarks in Himachal’s Spiti Valley. While the monastery is not as ancient as the one in Tabo, or as precariously located as the one at Dhankar, it has a charm that is largely unparalleled. Its setting is nothing less than a feat, looking more like a movie set.
Kutla
Nestled deep in Himachal’s Parvati Valley is this little wondrous village, Kutla. A hike via Tosh will lead you to this charming place, only to get lost in its Shangri La like lure. When there, do nothing other than poring over the surreal landscape.
Naggar
Naggar is the magic land that has been overshadowed by the rather commercial vibe of Manali. As expected, Naggar sees tourists that leave by evening, leaving much to be explored and enjoyed by all the solo travelers. When here, search for the very interesting folklore; you would be a storyteller before you know it.
Triund
We know that you know about this one, but that hardly makes a difference if you have been here in the peak season. Except for summers, Triund is a wonderland, for it attracts only the lovers of solitude and, of course, the great Himalayas. Put your hiking boots on.
Kalpa
I would simply term Kalpa as the most beautiful place that I have seen in India, and you know how much the country has to offer. As stunning as the word ‘stunning’ can be, this village will make you fall in love with Himachal Pradesh all over again.
